After about a two-year hiatus, I’m trying to get back into regular routine updating my blog and YouTube channels. Over the past couple of years, we moved back to Ohio from Florida, and I’ve been busy with work, so I had to cut a few things due to lack of time. Now that I have more time, I can get back into it.
I’m not that great at writing content and I’m an introvert, so both writing blogs and doing video tutorials helps me improve on both of those challenges. I can tell from a few years of Covid and now a second round of political chaos that my anxiety has ramped up again, so hopefully writing content, doing video, and interacting with people more will help with that also (interacting with people is a bit of a toss-up as far as helping with anxiety).
Most of the time, I write tech-focused how-to articles and tutorial videos explaining how something works in the simplest terms possible, but sometimes I’ll throw in a post or video like this one about me or something I’m doing unrelated to tech. My focus right now has been on private membership community builds, so expect some content on that topic along with everything from analytics to hosting.
One of the best ways for me to learn a topic is to teach it as I learn it, so expect some content like that where I am in the process of learning something and documenting the whole process.
Through my job, I’ve worked with a lot of marketing pros and business owners who knew they needed to do something, like run Google Ads for example, but they didn’t quite understand how that thing worked. I think it’s important to have at least a solid base-level understanding of how something works to be able to make good business decisions surrounding it, so I’ll cover those topics in posts and tutorials.
